these kids today

So last night, I happened to catch part of the Jeopardy College Championship. There was a category which called for the contestants to name the artist given a snippet of rap lyric. The first three answers were breezed through quickly enough to receive a snide remark from Alex. Though at least one of the students knew Snoop Dogg, Eminem and (?)50 Cent, no one could identify some of the best know words of either the Beastie Boys or LL Cool J. This makes me feel both sad and old.
